The Nigerian Army has said troops of 117 battalion, 28 Task Force Brigade, Operation Lafiya Dole have killed a suspected Boko Haram terrorist and two suspected insurgents.
Two soldiers who sustained injuries are, however receiving treatment.
Army spokesperson, Brig. Gen. Sani Usman, said the terrorist was gunned down on Tuesday, following their encounter with them at Forfor village in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State.
According to Usman, the troops in collaboration with some members of the Civilian Joint Task Force, embarked on the patrol following a report on the presence of suspected Boko Haram terrorists in a hideout.
He added that during the encounter at Forfor Village various weapons were recovered from them.
