A magistrate court in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital has issued an order to remand Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, popularly known as Trinityguy, a skit maker, in prison. This follows allegations of him sexualising a minor in one of his viral skit videos.
Presenting the defendant before Magistrate Olúdáre Adebayo, the counsel for Trinityguy, pleaded with the court to grant bail to his client.
However, the bail application was denied for reasons that the allegation against the skit maker is currently under the scrutiny of the State Ministry of Justice. The court further ruled that the parents of the minor girl seen in the video would also be remanded alongside Trinityguy until the next court session.
The Magistrate adjourned the case until July 11.
