Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich have announced that they have reached an agreement to sign French defender, Benjamin Pavard, who will join the German champions on a five-year deal from next season.
The club’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic confirmed this on Wednesday. The French 22-year-old is currently playing for Bayern Munich rivals VfB Stuttgart and he was also involved in France’s World Cup win in Russia where he scored a stunning goal in the last-16 win over Argentina.
The season resumes next week after the annual winter break with Bayern, who have won the last six league titles, in second place, six points behind leaders Borussia Dortmund.
