Tour de France’s planned three-day Grand Depart in Denmark, in 2021, has been moved to 2022. Last week, organizers moved the start date of the 2021 Tour, by a week, to avoid clashing with the men’s road race at the rescheduled Olympic games in Tokyo 2021.
But the new start date of June 26 event, is two days before Copenhagen, hosts a last-16 match in the rescheduled Euro 2020 football tournament.
The Danish Grand Depart has now been rescheduled to commence from July 1 to 3 2022. The 2020 Grand Depart is due to take place in Nice from 29-31 August, the first time the start will have taken place in mainland France since 2016.
