Today, Ghana marks her 63rd Independence anniversary from Britain

Ghana listed as Second Most Peaceful Country in Africa!

Did you know that Ghana is the first sub-Saharan African nation to declare independence from Britain thus sparking a wave of decolonization throughout the Continent.

To commemorate the day, the 63rd Independence Day Anniversary Planning Committee is all set for the event taking place at the Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi. This year’s celebration is themed ‘Consolidating our gains‘.

Several Special guests have been invited to grace the occasion such as the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Keith Rowley among others. The citizens are especially happy the celebration will be taking place in Kumasi instead of the capital, Accra.

Ghana has in recent times been taking some giant strides in promoting the African heritage, the recently concluded wear Ghana festival 2020 – https://www.plustvafrica.com/wear-ghana-festival-2020-aims-to-promote-local-textiles-among-youths/ and the Year of Return where at least 126 Africans in the diaspora we’re granted citizenship are some of the steps Ghana has taken to indeed consolidate their gains
