Tiger Woods up to 6th in the world following Masters triumph

Following his sensational one-shot victory at Augusta, Tiger Woods shot back into the world’s top 10 ranked golfers.

It marks the first time since 2014 that the 15-time Major winner has been ranked in the world’s top 10.

The 43 years old is now ranked sixth in the world after falling to a career-low 1,199 in 2017.

America’s Dustin Johnson reclaimed the world number one spot from Englishman Justin Rose after he finished in a tie for second alongside Xander Schauffele and Brooks Koepka.

Tiger Woods will be hoping to top the rankings once again, having spent a record 683 weeks at the world number one spot in his career, which includes a record 281 successive weeks between 2005 and 2010.

He last held the world number one spot for 60 weeks in 2013/2014 before injuries took its toll on his body.
