After Pentagon confirmed the attack on the now late General Qasem Soliemani, the United States Embassy has ordered all United States citizens to evacuate the country immediately.

Upon investigation, it was found that the assassination of the Iranian General was ordered by President Donald Trump. Soliemani was killed in a drone attack targeted to Baghdad after his death was confirmed by the Iraqi media.

The late General led a special forces unit of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards and his death has if anything heightened the tensions between the United States and Iran.

Since Trump’s assumption of office, the tension between the two nations have skyrocketed with the scrapping of the scrapped the Iran Nuclear Deal and now this.

The attack comes in retaliation to the New Year’s Eve attack by Iran back militia on the embassy in Baghdad. President Trump deployed 750 U.S soldiers to the middle east.

The U.S Dept of Defense released a statement citing that the attack was targeted at deterring future Iranian attack plans. However, few hours after Pentagon released a statement, Iran’s foreign minister Mohammed Javad Zarif called the assassination extremely dangerous and foolish.

Iran has promptly replaced the General with Esmail Qaani also, the Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei tweeted that ‘Harsh vengeance awaits the criminals that murdered the general and other martyrs blood on their evil hands’
