The Nigerian stock market dropped 19.77%

The Nigerian Stock Exchange depreciated by 19.77 percent in 2018, due to political uncertainties.

The exchange which was named the third best performing stock exchange in the world in 2017 performed dismally in 2018.

A breakdown of the foreign investment outflow between January and September 2018 showed that a total of ₦513.49bn left the country during the period.

However, both total foreign investment inflow and outflow increased month-on-month in September when compared to the previous month.

Foreign investment inflow, rose by 10.6 per cent to ₦40.54bn from ₦36.7bn in the previous month.
