The Tertiary Education Trust fund TETFUND has called on higher institutions nationwide to focus more on research and development.
The Executive Secretary of TETFUND Professor Suleiman Bogoro spoke to members of the Academia in Abuja saying Nigerian Universities must compete with its counterparts across the world in research and innovation so as to help develop the Nation.
Professor Bogoro says Nigeria cannot stay competitive and meet its developmental challenges if it’s universities and higher institutions continue to ignore research urging them to take the lead.
