Daniil Medvedev claimed his first title of the 2023 season in Rotterdam on Sunday (February 19), defeating Italy’s Jannik Sinner.
The sixth seed came back strong after dropping a hotly contested first set to win convincingly.
Medvedev returns to the world’s top ten ranked players with victory at the ATP 500 event, climbing from eleventh to ninth ahead of Hubert Hurkacz and Holger Rune.
The title is the Russian’s sixteenth at tour level, of which all but one have come on hard courts.
