John Magufuli, Tanzania’s President has exposed the unrealistic demands Investors are requesting to invest in Africa. He described the terms as foolhardy and could only appeal to a madman.
He gave examples of some foreign investors offering to build a port and in lieu run a separate port for as close to 35 years without paying any form of revenue to the Tanzanian Government. In addition offer compensation for the building activity.
This comes at a time when China is partnering with other African countries to fund some major projects.
