Tackling Unemployment: I.F.M.A. In Collaboration With Lasveb Graduates 40 Students With Vocational Skills

As part of efforts to takle unemployment, which has remained one of the biggest problems confronting Nigeria today, the Nigerian chapter of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), in collaboration with the Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board ( LASTVEB), has graduated 40 students with technical skills.

The Executive Secretary of LASVEB, Morounke Azeez, said that Nigeria must pay attention to vocational and technical education, as according to her, that would make the country’s economy thrive, and more jobs created.

She also stated that Nigeria, especially Lagos State, is embracing technical and vocational education, because they are the backbone of any economy.

On their part, the president of IFMA, Nigeria chapter, Segun Adebayo, and the former President of the association, Steven Jargon said that this initiative to a large extent, will help to solve the rate of unemployment in the country.
