Saido Berahino’s defense counsel, Jake Taylor told the court that due to the duress of circumstances, his client was pleading not guilty to the charge.

The duress of circumstances is the alleged robbery that Berahino fell victim of, where weapons were produced and his personal belongings stolen, just before he drove off.

Berahino’s trial has been set for May 15th by 09:30, with no formal conditions, except that he turns up on time to his trial.
