SSANU urges FG to approve licenses for universities’ security to carry arms

The National President of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU, Mohammed Ibrahim, has appealed to the Nigerian government to grant the Nigerian universities securities personnel the license to carry arms and ammunition to cure insecurity in the citadel of learning.

The SSANU President made the appeal at the second regular zonal executive council meeting of the union, South-South zone held at the University of Benin main campus, Ugbowo, Edo State.

Ibrahim, who also said they are not happy with the way the Nigerian government is treating the issues of hazard allowance for its members, said IPPIS has made the university lecturers poorer.
