For the first time, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has publicly fired back at Senator Smart Adeyemi referring to the Senator representing Kogi West as a lunatic in flight and that it was needless to square up with him in his lunacy.
Adeyemi had on the 23rd of February verbally attacked the Governor referring to him as a drunkard and champaign drinking man inside the Senate chamber.
Speaking at the Made-In-Aba book launch to mark the 66th birthday anniversary of Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe in Abuja on Monday, Ikpeazu seized the moment to take his pound of flesh on Adeyemi when he likened him to a madman on the run that should not be engaged.
Ikpeazu told his audience that for a start, he has never taken alcohol and he doesn’t begrudge those who do.
He said Adeyemi’s verbal attack on his person in the hallowed chamber of the Senate where issues of national importance should be deliberated, ridicules the value of the National Assembly institution and speaks volumes about the upbringing of Adeyemi.
“If a mad man takes your clothes while bathing and you take off after him naked no one will know who is mad between the two of you,” he said.
