Britain’s Simon Yates has been crowned the WorldTour champion at the conclusion of the 2018 season in China.
The Mitchelton-Scott rider won his first Grand Tour, the Vuelta a Espana in September and had top five overall finishes at the Tour of Catalunya, Tour of Poland, Paris-Nice.
Yates won seven individual stages and accumulated more points than any other rider across the season to finish at the top of the WorldTour rankings.
