Unbelievable but true, an estimated 36 cows have been struck by lightning in the Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Many have attributed the event to an act of the god- sango, as reports gathered, say the cattle were grazing on the Oke Owa bush, a place whereby folklore only the king is allowed to enter due to its consecration. As such, the lightning could only have been the wrath of the gods.
Indeed, the herdsmen ran away as their cattle were struck dead and as such no human lives were lost. The Police PRO, Mr Femi Joseph on visiting the site of the incident confirmed that it was a natural disaster and nothing could be done about it.
The Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders has commented on the incident describing it as sad.
