Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency has taken its sensitization on domestic and sexual violence to the Apapa Local Government, with a charge to victims and community members to speak up against the menace.
The programme brought together men and women who are willing to change the narrative of issues and end the scourge.
The Community Engagement Officer, Damilare Adewusi urged the community not to shield abusers, while also encouraging victims to get the needed help.
Other facilitators at the programme said the prevalence of sexual and gender-based violence is heightened by poverty, among other reasons.
