Security: Falana, Akeredolu Speak On Criminal Justice, State Police

A supreme court judge, Justice Helen Ogunwumiju has lamented that every aspect of the society is deep in corruption.

She spoke in Ondo city at the maiden edition of the law week of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ondo branch

According to her, Nigeria is facing serious security threat because of no proper investigation of crimes, low rate of conviction, feeling of impunity by criminals, and weak criminal justice system.

She added that terrorism can be tackled through external support from countries like India.

Femi Falana urged judges to be courages in the discharge of their duties.

He also charged them to tackle excesses of lawyers and government officials.

Govenor Akeredolu reechoed the need for the creation of state police.
