News broke earlier today that Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan have tendered their decision to quit as front-line Royals saying more time will be spent in North America and the United Kingdom .
The decision came as a shock as Queen Elizabeth II found out shortly before everyone else and had not been approved, same as his father Prince Charles.
In addition, they both announced plans to discontinue the Royal Rota, a system established for news organisations to take turns covering events, sharing pictures and thus avoiding mass media.
Late last year, Prince Harry and his wife released a statement on the spread of fake news and also sued a news outlet for carrying suspicious news about them. Read more about it here…
The Royal Family has expressed disappointment over the news and the Evening Standard explains that the Queen had previously told the Duke to postpone his announcement
