The National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS) says it has contained oil spillage in the Bodo community area of Rivers State as the faulty sections of the Trans Niger Pipeline has been completely repaired.
The Group General Manager, NAPIMS, Bala Wunti, disclosed this over the weekend.
He stated that with the successful completion of repairs, environmental remediation will commence immediately, noting that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has an unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and safeguarding the wellbeing of their host communities.
