The Rivers State Government has condemned the recent attack on the Abuja residence of the former Governor of the state, Peter Odili, following the Supreme Court judgement that nullified the election of David Lyon as governor of Bayelsa State.
The former governor’s wife and former Rivers State First Lady, Justice Mary Odili, chaired the panel of the Supreme Court justices that delivered judgement on Bayelsa State.
Briefing newsmen on the outcome of Wednesday’s State Executive Council meeting, the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Paulinus Nsirim, accused the Federal Government of not showing any interest in the sponsored threats to the lives of Peter Odili and members of his family.
