Rihanna, the richest female artist globally has donated the sum of $5 million towards the current pandemic raging across the globe.
She made the donation via the Clara Lionel Foundation to help support those challenged and also helping to stop the virus.
The donation is to help medical staff and also contribute towards protective equipment, maintenance and accelerate the development of vaccines amongst others.
The Executive director of the foundation, Justine Lucas in a statement made the following declaration
“Never has it been more important or urgent to protect and prepare marginalized and underserved communities — those who will be hit hardest by this pandemic.”
