Reno Omokri explains why marking Leah Sharibu’s Birthday is so important

Author and Lawyer, Reno Omokri has explained in an interview why marking Leah Sharibu’s birthday is of the essence.

According to him, Leah needs to know that she hasn’t been forgotten and remains very dear in the hearts of many Nigerians.

Reno got notable Nigerian politicians such as Ben Bruce and Ali Ndume alongside himself to wish Leah a wonderful birthday with hopes that by next year she would celebrate with family and friends.

On the efforts by the Federal Government, Reno stresses that this current administration is not doing enough and needs to do more to ensure that Leah is restored back to society.

He even suggested that the current President, Muhammadu Buhari doesn’t fully comprehend the situation and that Leah is marginalized because of her religion.

Reno brought Zainab Aliyu’s case forward and the efficacy with which the president rescued her and that same level of urgency should be channeled towards Leah Sharibu’s release.

He stressed that the North has the highest level of insecurity due to the fact that it has the highest level of illiteracy.

Reno further iterated that though India has 8 times our population, Nigeria still has the highest level of uneducated youths and what’s more this administration has not built any new schools to curb the crisis.
