Switzerland commenced their campaign on a winning note after overcoming the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon 1-0 in today’s 2022 World Cup clash.
The first half produced lots of excitements as both teams showed great attacking prowess.
The Swiss were dominant in terms of controlling possesion and deservedly netted the opening goal in the second half through Breel Embolo’s right foot shot in the 48th minute.
The victory put Switzerland top of Group G on three points while Cameroon sit bottom on zero point.
Cameroon will next face Serbia while Brazil will tackle Switzerland.
