Following the midnight arrest of Omoyele Sowore allegedly premised on the #RevolutionNow Campaign, many notable politicians and activists have demanded the immediate release of the former presidential candidate.
All taking advantage with the hashtag #FreeSowore, Atiku Abubakar has condemned the arrest calling it a kidnap disguised as arrest as Nigerians are entitled to Freedom of Speech.
Senator Shehu Sani also condemned the arrest as needless and joined the call for his release. The official reason of arrest of Omoyele Sowore the convener of the RevolutionNow campaign has not been explicitly stated by the DSS, however, Lauretta Onochie has disclosed that the DSS saved him from setting himself ablaze.
