Pope Francis has called on Christians all over the world to pray for Sudan as concerns for the escalating violence in the country rises.
While addressing the Pentecost Mass at St. Peter’s Square on Sunday, Pope Francis said:
“In these days, the news coming from Sudan is causing pain and concern. Let’s pray for these people to stop the violence and to search for the common good through dialogue”

Recent reports reveal that over 100 people have been killed in the protests pressurizing the Transitional Military council to hand over power to a civilian government.
