The Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has described as fake, politicians who do not show interest in workers’ welfare.
Gbajabiamila who was speaking at the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, roundtable on social protection cover, says the house will push for implementation policies that guarantee adequate protection for the Nigerian worker.
The House of Representatives Speaker said that workers make the wealth and deserve to be well treated.
Gbajabiamila said that no citizen has the right to take the life of another, no matter the state of the economy
Nigeria Labour Congress President, Ayuba Wabba, in his opening, said that physical security has a strong tie with human security, which makes social protection cover a necessity in solving huge aspect of socio-economic challenges.
The theme of the roundtable is expanding social protection cover and ensuring effective implementation in Nigeria.
