Zamfara State has recorded twenty-one cases of Polio Virus in five Local councils considered to be the worst hit by activities of armed bandits and Kidnappers within the last eight months
That’s according to the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar
The Local Councils affected by the virus Includes, Gusau with seven cases, Maradun Six cases, Gummi Five cases, Maru two cases and Bungudu one
The Monarch represented by the emir of Argungu stated this at a meeting with traditional rulers from troubled Communities in Zamfara. The meeting was organized by the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency in Collaboration with the Sultan foundation for peace and development
