Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has described as “heartbreaking”, the killing of Bolanle Raheem, a Lagos lawyer.
It was earlier reported that the incident happened on Sunday in the Ajah area of Lagos when the deceased and her family were returning from Christmas service.
In a tweet on Monday, Abubakar said there is a need for reform that will “sanitise” the force.
He also called on the police authorities to ensure that the officers responsible for the act are brought to justice.
