Police Arrest suspected ritualists with human skulls, fresh blood

A sixty-year-old suspected ritualist in possession of two decaying human skulls has been arrested in Ekpan-Ovu, Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State.

The State Commissioner of Police, Ari Mohammed, in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, said that the sixty-year-old Godfrey Akpudje who claimed to be a native doctor was arrested following intelligence gathering of an exhumed corpse from the cemetery.

The statement also said the Dragon Patrol Team of the State Police Command in a separate Stop-and-Search Operation at Nsukwa junction along Ogwashi-Uku/Kwale road intercepted a Sienna bus travelling from Asaba to Kwale, upon which three suspects were found with a container filled with fresh human blood.

The three suspects; Monday Nwite 27 years, Madabuchi Nweke 26 years, and Nwite Sunday 21 years all of Ebenta village in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, upon interrogation, confessed to having murdered some unknown persons in Ebonyi State and were on the way with their victims’ blood to a native doctor whose identity is unknown but resides in Kwale, for ritual purposes.

The statement further assured that the Command will leave no stone unturned to rid the state of any social vices.
