The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Uche Secondus, says the PDP governors are today the pillars holding Nigeria together as a nation.
Leading other members on the PDP National Working Committee, NWC, on a condolence visit to the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike over the death of his uncle, Charles Aleruchi Wike and the Chaplain of the Government House, Port Harcourt, Venerable Sunday Opara, Secondus said if not for the outstanding performance of the PDP Governors, Nigeria would have been thrown into total anarchy.
The visit also affords the PDP NWC the opportunity to hold talks with Governor Wike on a number of issues including the state of the nation.
On his part, Governor Wike said the PDP remains the only hope for the sustenance of development and democracy in Nigeria.
The Governor also assured the PDP NWC of his continued loyalty and support to the party.
