The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has advised the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and the Inspector General of Police to resign their appointments.

National Chairman of the Party, Uche Secondus, stated this at the 83 National Executive Council meeting held in Abuja on Thursday.

Secondus also talked about the resolve to devolve power to the grassroots ahead of the 2019 election.

The PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and other party leaders unanimously challenged the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, President Muhammadu Buhari to a debate.

The National Executive Council meeting was the first after the Port Harcourt National Convention and primaries of the PDP.
