The People’s Democratic Party, PDP has demanded the immediate resignation of the minister of transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi whom they accused of using government fund to campaign for president Muhammadu Buhari.
Without making reference to any evidence to back their allegation, the PDP said Amaechi’s action demonstrates the height of corruption in the Buhari administration
In a statement by the party’s national publicity secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, the party lambasted Amaechi for comparing the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who happens to be the candidate for PDP.
The party said such comparison is proof that has finally lost touch with the generality of Nigerians.
It claimed Atiku as a proven wealth creator and resources manager cannot be compared to president Buhari, whom it accused of being responsible for the hardship, and escalating insecurity in the nation in the last three and half years
