Paris 2024 Olympics: Breakdancing proposed as new sport for games

Breakdancing is one of the sports proposed to the International Olympic Committee for inclusion in the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Surfing, Climbing and Skateboarding will make their debuts at the Olympics in Tokyo 2020 and are also considered for the 2024 Olympic games in Paris but Squash will not be part of it.

Although started as a dance, Breakdancing is now a sport and featured at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires.

It was well received, with Russia’s Sergei Chernyshev winning the first breaking gold medal in the boys’ category while Japan’s Ramu Kawai won that of the girls.
