The Nigeria Police Force, Oyo State Command has confirmed the release of a former Deputy Vice-Chancellor, University of Ibadan, Adigun Agbaje, by his abductors.
The police spokesperson in the state, Adewale Osifeso, who made this known to newsmen in Ibadan said that Agbaje is currently undergoing debriefing and that an update will be provided on the matter, even though he did not give details about the release of other kidnapped travelers.
Recall that Agbaje, along with other travelers, including two female students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, were on Friday night kidnapped by gunmen in military uniform around Dominica University, on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
