Eight persons have been confirmed dead after a petrol-laden tanker fell and exploded along the Ore-Benin Expressway, in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ondo State, Ezekiel Son-Allah, said eight persons were burnt to death while trying to scoop fuel from the fallen tanker before it exploded.
He said the fuel tanker lost control due to overspeeding.
