Ahead of the rescheduled general elections, leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State have alerted President Muhammadu Buhari and the national leadership of the party of the looming defeat of the party as a result of alleged anti-party activities of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

The party leaders from Akoko North West Local Government Area of the state alleged that the Governor has mobilised all state and local government machinery and the party’s resources to support his political allies who are contesting on the platform of an opposition party, Action Alliance (AA).

They called on President Buhari and the national leadership of APC to relate directly with all APC candidates in Ondo State.

They expressed displeasure over the anti-party activities of the Governor and the silence of the National Executive Committee on the issue.

Meanwhile, Governor Akeredolu has continued to deny aligning with any political party except his party, the APC.
