There were pockets of violence in some polling units in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State which scared most voters away from the polling units in Saturday’s governorship election.
Some other voters, however, defied all odds to exercise their franchise.
The Deputy Inspector General of Police, ICT, who monitored the security situation at various polling units, said that those involved in the violence have been arrested.
