The House of Representatives ad-hoc committee constituted to review the 31st January 2023 deadline to phase out old currency could not hold as scheduled.
After the members of the committee waited for an hour for the commencement of the meeting, the chairman, Alhassan Ado-Doguwa informed that it has been rescheduled for Thursday and Friday.
The chairman explained that the meeting was scheduled to meet the officials of the Central Bank of Nigeria but due to the late receipt of the letter, it was agreed that they should appear on Thursday by 1 pm.
