Crews in central Oklahoma on Monday (February 27) were assessing the damage and clearing debris, after a string of rare February tornadoes roared through the area overnight.
Video footage of the destruction on social media showed debris strewn across neighborhoods and roofs ripped off a residential complex in the city of Norman, after storms had rolled through the area at around 11 p.m. local time on Sunday.

Norman Chief of Police, Kevin Foster, said during a news conference on Monday that twelve people were taken to the hospital, but none of them had life-threatening injuries.
