The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has accused the former presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar and the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC for conniving to sabotage the petroleum reform process of the federal government.

This comes in light of the planned Strike by the Nigerian Labour Congress because of the recent hikes in electricity tariffs and the removal of fuel subsidy.

The labour group had given the federal government a 2-week ultimatum until a court order banned the action from taking place. It remains unclear if Labour will adhere to the directives or proceed as planned.

The national president of the NYCN Solomon Adodo while speaking with newsmen in Abuja says the Act by the PDP candidate and the Labour Union is aimed at frustrating government efforts at creating jobs through the reform

Adodo however warned the NLC to desist from misinforming Nigerians about government prices and deregulation reforms.
