The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Akwa Ibom State, Obong Nsima Ekere, has again assured the people of the state of his plan to engender the collective prosperity of the state if elected governor.
Addressing a mammoth crowd at the Uyo Township Stadium during the flag off of the APC campaign in the state on Monday, Ekere said the content of his blueprint, when implemented, will fast-track the all-round prosperity of Akwa Ibom State.
The Niger-Delta Development Commission, NDDC MD cautioned against the resort to ethnic sentiments by the opposing party as the electioneering season becomes intense.
Also speaking, the wife of the governorship hopeful, Ese Nsima Ekere, urged the people to remain resolute in their support for her husband as better opportunities await them once he assumes office as governor.
Dignitaries including the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, Senator Magnus Abe and other bigwigs of the party within and outside Akwa Ibom State graced the event.
The highpoint of the event was the presentation of APC flags to candidates of the party in the three senatorial districts, 10 federal constituencies and 26 state constituencies.
