A Nigerian Actress, Sotonye Green has been confirmed dead, based on reports from her friend, Debby Emokpaire King, at the Yaba Isolation Centre.
This will make her the first nollywood celebrity to die at the dreadful coronavirus that has since doubled in terms of infection rate when the infection was at its peak during the first wave.
According to Debby’s testimony, her friend passed away due to neglect at the Yaba Isolation Centre, as she was refused oxygen.
Considering the dearth of personnel to human ratio and limited resources in the country, iher testimony, Debby took the opportunity to advise all that indeed COVID-19 is very real and in Nigeria and to observe all social distancing guidelines.
In her words, if you are not well connected or of high influence in Nigeria, it is better not to catch the dreadful disease. She also alleged that testing goes for as high as fifty thousand Naira.
