According to a statement published by the U.K broadcaster, Wikipedia was no longer accessible in China since April this year, but recently the BBC has confirmed that all language versions of the online encyclopedia are not available to internet users in China.
China originally doesn’t allow access to many websites, and some taken offline temporarily during political event anniversaries or similar occasions.
It is yet unclear the motive behind those actions are but it comes at a time that coincides with the ongoing trade wars between the United States and China.
