Nigerian youths should leverage NYSC experience to become job creators – Ikpeazu

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, southeast Nigeria has charged the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, to ensure that Nigerian youths seize the opportunity of their service year to become job creators and contribute effectively to the social and economic development of the nation.

The Governor was speaking when he received a delegation from the NYSC led by the Director in charge of the South East Area office, Ngozi Nwatarali.

Governor Ikpeazu told his guests that the state government is setting up shoe factories and encouraged youth corps members in the state to take advantage of the facilities to acquire skills in shoemaking and other viable entrepreneurship.

The South East Area Director of NYSC, while thanking the Governor for his supports, assured of synergy between the NYSC and the state government to ensure that the objectives of the scheme are fully achieved.

The newly deployed Coordinator of NYSC in Abia State, Jingi Dennis, was among the team that had an audience with the Governor.
