Following the demise of legendary comedic actor Moses Olaiya popularly called Baba Sala, Nollywood celebrities have taken to social media to pay tribute to him.
Famous Actor Adebayo Salami also known as Oga Bello was one of the celebrities that such tribute and had this to say ‘The news of your demise came to me as a shock. No matter how old good people grow, we still don’t want them to die. Yet, death is an integral part of the existence cycle. Pa Moses Olaiya, you were a pathfinder, a creator of fun, a leader and eclectic thespian. We shall miss you greatly. On behalf of my family and I, it is our prayers that God bless your soul.
Another actor Saidi Balogun wrote: ‘RIP Moses Olaiya Adejumo, aka BABA SALA. He was one of the best comedians that ever lived. One of the greatest legends of our time.’ Nollywood actress, Ronke Oshodi Oke wrote: ‘Good night baba mi, Legend is gone The king of comedy.’
Baba Sala passed away in his sleep on Sunday night, the 7th of October at the age of 81.
