The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced plans to fully implement the ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Scheme.
This will help facilitate the compensation of road accident victims within the region. The information was dispersed by Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning in Abuja at an official event.
She added that the ECOWAS Brown Card would also help facilitate the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement which welcomes the free movement of goods and services within the sub-region.
The ECOWAS Brown Card Scheme is expected to operate in all member-state countries.
