Niger State Governor, Abubakar Bello, has expressed shock at the recent abduction of persons and livestock in different parts of the state.
The Governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mary Berje, observed that several persons have been abducted in Wushishi, Rafi, and Lavun Local Government Areas.
The Governor also expressed dismay over gunmen’s abduction of more than 200 students seeking Islamic education at Salihu Tanko Islamic School, Tegina.
The Governor said there is a need for the Federal Government to urgently intervene on the security challenges in the state.
