The new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress -APC, Adams Oshiomohle, has resumed work after formally taking over from John Odigie-Oyegun.

Speaking shortly after the handover, Oshiomohle called for support of president Muhammadu Buhari’s fight against corruption with an appeal to the president, to investigate and recover the 16 billion dollars said to have been spent on the power sector by the administration of former President, Olusegun Obasanjo.

Oshiomohle’s call is a reminder of Buhari’s comment in May, saying Obasanjo had questions to answer over the said power project. The former president has denied any wrongdoing.

Also speaking on recent allegations by both the Social Democratic Party, that the APC was stealing its slogan, Oshiomhole said he was unaware of any meeting where a decision was taken to change the party’s slogan but emphasised that progress is the outcome of change.

The new APC national chairman assured that going forward, the party would hold a convention every year to review performances of its administration to ensure it is fulfilling its manifesto.
